As a committee, we are dedicated to creating positive, enriching experiences for young athletes, and we need dedicated, enthusiastic individuals to help us achieve this mission.

Roles Available

We offer a variety of roles within the committee, depending on your

interests, skills, and availability.

Whether you're looking to lead a program, help organize events, or

provide logistical support, there’s a role for you.

Some of the key positions include:

Coaches & Assistant Coaches:

Guide and mentor youth athletes in various sports. No prior coaching experience required—

just a passion for helping kids succeed!

Event Organizers:

Plan and coordinate sports events, tournaments, and fundraising activities.

Fundraising Coordinators:

Work with local businesses and individuals to raise money for equipment, scholarships, and more.

Committee Members:

Assist with planning and decision-making for overall committee goals and initiatives.

Volunteer Support:

Help with setup, registration, and administrative tasks during sports seasons and events.

HOW TO JOIN

Becoming part of the Youth Sports Committee is easy! Here’s how you can get started:

Step 1: Fill Out the Volunteer Application

Simply fill out our online Volunteer Application Form.

This will help us understand your interests, availability, and how you’d like to contribute.

Step 2: Select Your Role

Choose from the various roles available (Coaching, Event Planning, Fundraising, etc.).

If you're unsure about which position is right for you, don’t worry—

our team will help match you with a role that suits your skills and availability.

Step 3: Attend a New Volunteer Orientation

Once your application is submitted, we’ll invite you to attend a New Volunteer Orientation.

During the orientation, we’ll go over our mission, guidelines, expectations, and training resources. It’s also an opportunity to meet other new committee members and get a feel for how we work together.

Step 4: Start Making an Impact!

After orientation, you’ll be ready to start working with the team.

You’ll receive all the resources you need to succeed in your role, and we’ll be here

to support you along the way!

As a Youth Sports Committee, we’re looking for individuals who:

Are Passionate:

A love for sports and youth development is essential,

but prior experience isn’t required for most roles.

Are Team-Oriented:

Collaboration and communication are key to our success,

and we want people who enjoy working with others.

Are Committed:

While we understand that life gets busy, we value those who

are reliable and dedicated to helping us achieve our goals.

Bring Ideas:

We welcome fresh ideas and perspectives on how to improve and grow our programs.

Are Ready to Learn:

We offer training for all new committee members, whether you’re volunteering

as a coach, event organizer, or committee member.

What is Expected of You

Once you join the Youth Sports Committee, we'll work together to make sure we meet the needs of

the athletes and the community. Here's what's typically expected:

Time Commitment:

Depending on your role, your time commitment may vary. Coaches typically commit a few hours a week, while event organizers and committee members may dedicate a few hours per month.

Attend Meetings:

Committee members are expected to attend regular planning meetings to ensure smooth operations and effective decision-making.

Be a Positive Role Model:

All members are expected to uphold the values of teamwork, respect,

and sportsmanship that we promote within the community.

Training & Support

We provide ongoing support and training for all our committee members to ensure they’re equipped to succeed in their roles:

Coaching Resources:

New coaches will have access to coaching guidelines, materials,

and best practices to help them lead successful teams.

Event Planning Support:

Event organizers will be given checklists, timelines, and templates to help them

plan and execute activities.

Ongoing Mentorship:

Experienced committee members will mentor new volunteers, offering

guidance and feedback as needed.
